Quetzal Labs ("we", "us", "our") operates Snaptrack Expenses ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from the respective provider.

Receipt & Expense Data

We collect receipt images you upload, expense details (vendor, amount, date, category), and associated metadata. Receipt images are processed using Google Gemini AI to automatically extract expense information.

Camera & Photo Library

With your permission, we access your device camera to capture receipt photos and your photo library to select existing receipt images. We only access photos you explicitly choose to upload.

Device Information

We may collect device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting and improving the service. We do not collect advertising identifiers or track you across other apps.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the expense tracking service
• To process receipt images using AI for automatic data extraction
• To generate expense reports and insights for you and your team
• To send notifications about expense approvals and deadlines (with your permission)
• To improve and optimize the App's performance
• To respond to your support requests

3. AI Processing

Receipt images are processed by Google Gemini AI to extract vendor names, amounts, dates, and categories. This processing happens in real-time when you upload a receipt. The AI does not store your images beyond the processing request. Extracted data is stored in your account within our database.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage) with encryption in transit and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Data is stored in the United States.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Within your team: Expense data is shared with members of companies you belong to, based on your role and permissions.
• Service providers: We use Google Firebase for data storage and Google Gemini for AI receipt processing.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile section of the App. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal information, expense records, and receipt images within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the App
• Export your expense data in CSV or PDF format
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of push notifications at any time

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date.
